Sparen mit Lichtkomfort - Energie sparen mit Licht

Bright, long-life and economical

Lamps produce light either by thermal radiation or by gas discharge. Their impact on the environment is generated mainly during their use phase -  as much as 95 percent of it in the case of some lamp types. General-service tungsten filament  lamps, in particular, are not very efficient. They are primarily generators of heat; only five to ten percent of the energy they consume is converted into light. Between 50 and 80 percent of it could be saved if more efficient types of lamp were used:

Various long life lamp types with a high luminous efficacy rating are available for professional lighting applications. Luminous efficacy is the yardstick of efficiency in lamp technology. Many lamps are operated by electronic ballasts, which reduces energy consumption. Longevity lowers maintenance costs.
