In the world of modern retailing, lighting performs two functions: it facilitates swift orientation and creates new visual experiences. Good lighting is more than just an aid for addressing a variety of visual tasks.
From department store to hi-fi studio, to exclusive delicatessen – effective product presentation is a defining factor of retail success. It emphasizes the quality of the merchandise, shapes the store's image, generates positive emotions. Light is a particularly good vehicle for these invisible marketing messages.
General lighting enables us not only to get our bearings in a store but also to register details. This is achieved with a regular arrangement of luminaires over the entire sales area or – here as a localized general lighting solution – with luminaires assigned to individual room zones. Display light, which may catch the eye with higher illuminance, for example, or with different angles of light incidence, is furnished by supplementary accent lighting. Decorative light, which brings a store interior to life, is provided by dynamic lighting productions.
