The standard DIN EN 12464-2 deals with the lighting requirements of outdoor workplaces, taking account of visual performance and visual comfort. Together with DIN EN 12464-1 "Light and lighting – Lighting of work places – Part 2: Indoor work places", the standard supersedes DIN 5035-2:1990 "Artificial lighting of interiors – Guideline values for indoor and outdoor workplaces“.
