Home office lighting
The study is not a regular workplace. Even so, good lighting is very important. Writing and reading are taxing visual tasks and visual requirements are even higher where a PC and monitor are used. So it is advisable to ensure that study lighting complies with the rules governing professional VDU workplaces. In Germany, these are contained in a special ordinance known as the Bildschirmarbeitsverordnung as well as the industrial standard DIN 5035 and DIN EN 12464-1. For the true "home office", compliance with these regulations is mandatory.
