Light therapy

Controlled use of light – light therapy – can help create a sense of wellbeing and health, assuaging negative impacts of environment or personal development. It helps shift workers and people suffering from jetlag, for example, to overcome the sleep disorders that may be caused by interference with our biological clock (circadian rhythm).

Light therapy can also help boost motivation, especially for those suffering from SAD (seasonal affective disorders), a syndrome that can occur in the darker months of the year and which results from lack of natural daylight.

Full spectrum lamps are often the light source of choice for light therapy equipment.
