Downlights are predominantly round, more rarely rectangular or square ceiling luminaires with reflectors and other optical elements. They come in designs for recessed mounting (recessed downlights) or surface mounting (surface-mounted downlights).They are available in swivel-mounted designs as well as for cabinet or showcase lighting.
