Mounted on the walls of an office, corridor or living room, wall luminaires provide accentuating light and help create a comfortable atmosphere in a room. Whether part of the general lighting or used only for accent lighting, wall luminaires should be installed on a separate switching circuit.

They are also suitable for task lighting, especially if shade or reflector are mounted on an arm, preferably a rotating, swivel-mounted arm for tailored lighting. For functional applications, e.g. as reading luminaire, the reflector should also be inclinable and rotatable.
