LED modules

LED modules consist of a row or other arrangement of semiconductor crystals or single LEDs (semiconductor crystals with housings) on a conductor plate. The electrical layout of the conductor plate should be chosen to suit the intended application.

LED modules are available in a variety of shapes and sizes. Their main distinguishing feature is the mounting scheme used in their construction:

  • modules built with wired LEDs mounted through holes on the printed circuit board
  • modules built using SMD technology (Surface Mounted Devices)
  • modules based on innovative CoB (Chip-on-Board) technology
  • SMD or CoB modules for high performance LEDs (high performance modules).
