What is an RSS feed?

RSS feeds facilitate Internet research by obviating the need to keep checking for news. By subscribing to RSS feeds, you can quickly and easily keep abreast of the news on your favourite websites.

Technically, RSS is based on a platform-independent XML file on the licht.de server. This file contains the 25 latest news items and events reported by the editorial office and is updated whenever new reports are released.

The RSS reader checks at regular intervals to see if new items are available. If this is the case, you receive the updates automatically on your screen – and can simply decide whether the information is of interest to you or not.
